where to put 6.5's in a 2ng gen 4runner

i have a spare set of rainbow x-plian 6.5 inch component speakers. where can I stick these guys, there doesn't seam to be much room!

I've seen q-logics kick pannels, but those seam to take up quite a bit of foot room

if you wanted them in the rear you can use the 2 storage compartments on either side in the very back. i have 6.5's in my 4runner there. i just cut the holes with a dremmel and then i too k off the panel in the very back top where the stock tweeters are and i just disconnected them and extended the wire down and plugged them in. they work well

sorry, i meant in the front... INMO there isn't much use for speakers in the rear of a vehicle, let alone components.

plus my subs are housed in the former storage bin area

i'll be installing my components in the next few days and i plan on putting the mid-bass toward the lower front corner of the door. i'm not sure where to put the tweeter yet. i'm going to move it around and find where i like it. sound quality from the highs are very dependant on location.

Just make a baffle out of mdf and make them fit! I have some Adire Kodas 6(s) in my 3rd Gen with a 3" mounting depth, I just made some rings and bolted them onto the door.

Put 'em in your doors.
I have info on my stereo page, and a link to the pods that were in my rig before I bought it.

The pods with the 6.5s and the 15" sub is all I need to have it as loud as I want.
