Will '88 V6 work in a '90 SR5 4runner?

Found a wrecked '88 Runner with a V6 (haven't gotten to look at it in person so Im asking here) I need a new motor in my '90 4runner V6 will these swap over or are there major differences between the two. Thanks for the help.

yes, will work, but the connectors will probably not line up in some places.
You will propbably have to swap a few things from old to new. When we put a 1989 in a 1992 truck we just moved the entire intake because of the TPS and the coolant sensors. Otherwise, I think it was all the same. maybe the knock sensor too.
