305/70r17 on 7.5 wide tundra rims

Will they fit, or is the tire too wide?

thats pretty wide of a tire a little over 12" wide... thats a bit large for a 7.5" wide wheel... however its only abotu the same difference as a 12.5 on an 8" rim which is fine... i would be worried about the wheel backspacing though becasue stock wheels normally are jsut about as tucked in as possibly meaning a wide tire like that might cuase crazy rub issues

I was going to get 1" wheel adapters to help with the fitment, and a 1" body lift.

personally i hate hweel spacers, as they are really jsut a bandaid... however the only ones that are good are the ones made by marlin etc, with their own studs... also though a good set of wheel spacers costs more than a set of rock crawler rims that you dont need spacers on as you can get them to your specs.....

I have 35x12.50R17's on my Tundra wheels. I also used Marlin Crawler 1.25" wheel spacers. They've worked just fine for me-

The cooper discoverer stt's only come in a 285/70r17, so I'll be going with that, don't think the fitment should be too bad. I have 10.50s and the 285 is about 11. I just love the tread pattern on the stt's.
