does anyone know of salvage yards that handle toyotas in the DFW area? i'm looking to add a rear e-locker to my 2WD and was thinking i could grab one (or the entire rear axle) from a salvage yard. either that, or i would buy and arb compressor and rear locker, i havent decided yet. any suggestions for lockers from people that have locked their 2WDs?

btw, i've got a 2WD 99 4Runner.

Toyota Heaven off of 287 in FW is an all Toyota yard, but the prices are crazy and good luck finding late model parts. All Import on Elliot Reeder in FW is another to check in.

 

I have used Toyota Heaven and its OK. Prices can be steep but its one of the only Toyota yards around that I know of. Beware of the guy behind the front counter that looks like Uncle Jesse....he can be a real dick head.

 

Good old FRED is not the easiest person to deal with.

 

there is Texas auto salvage on jefferson in arlington off of loop 12 that sells alot of toyota stuff...but again the prices are crazy high I got a rr taillight for a '02 on ebay for 41.00 and @ texas they wanted 90.00 so use all ur judgement when dealing with vultures....hehehe cavet umtor or some such lol
