Ok, i am custom making my front bumper, and i want to put two D-shackle mounts on it. Where would i get the mounts? What are they called? I have seen them called Clevise mounts, is that what they are called? Could i just have some metal cut into that shape and a hole drilled in it? It looks to be about 1" thickness steel. What are the dimensions of the piece?

Mike works at a fabrication shop, and he had those cut out on a laser machine. Pm him, I think he can have some more made up.
Bruce is right Rockstomper and a couple of other places sell them too( I cant remember where right now, I just woke up ).

 

I PM'ed him a few days ago, and i guess he is hiding somewhere, he has not responded... And i have an appointment with my buddies dad on saturday to have my stuff welded up, so i was hoping to find something local. But if i could atleast get the dimensions of the ones that i will be using, then i could get the holes for them cut, and then just get the welded later if need be...

 

I'll call him tonight. He stays really busy. I have done all the cad drawings for him on the bumpers so I have all the dimensions. I'll PM you the dimensions later tonight.

 

Actually, he already PM'ed me, im already having some made at a local shop. Although, i have a friend that might be interested in getting the hangers from mike.

On a seperate note, i am looking to make my rear bumper exactly like yours (seaflea) except that i want my wrap-around to be round tube instead of square tube. Could you get the CAD drawings for the rear bumper to me? If you have AIM or MSN messenger or somthing, message me if you have a chance plz.
