Spare tire accident..help

So i was driving down the road today and i hit a bump and hear a THUD on the ground..i look in my mirror and what to i see? My spare tire..fell out while it was driving.

Only to make matters worse it got a nail in the sidewall when it landed....what luck...crap

Ive been too lazy to get under it its too freakin cold out. Im guessing the mounts broken..should i guess ill just get a new one welded up or something. as for now ill go 2marrow and get a spare mounted up on the rim and throw it in the back for now...just a cheapo tire i dont have money for good ones. Oh well atleast my Motorola V551 came today

Take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Ask them to check too what other parts of your vehicle might fall off in the near future. Preventing accidents is a good thing.

If the mounts are rusted, it may be hard for a new one to be welded onto the same area. Maybe take sometime and figure out if there's anywhere else you could mount it. In the rear cab portion may be an option if you don't use if for anything else that is.....

Just be glad no-on was behind you! Hitting a nail is way better than smacking a someone in the grill with it-I can just see a mom with a couple kids in the back of the min-van. New spare is totally the cheapest outcome of losing it on the road.

That sucks really bad, dude... maybe you should just get a rack in the back )(interior) of your 4r for your new tire that way it can't fly out...

Just buy a roof basket and throw it up top. Then add some lights then you would be set for awhile.
