Do 3.0L TD headers and turbo fit 3.0L gas engines?

Hey all,
I was just brainstorming a bit. Would the headers and turbo from a 3.0L turbo diesel (they do make a 3.0L diesel, right?) bolt up to a 3.0L gas block? Might be kinda interesting. Do these engines use the same block, etc?
I wonder what the power increase would be.

You all's thoughts would be cool.
Have fun all.

I doubt it. Diesel motors are not at all like gas jobs. Plus, where are you going to get turbo diesel parts from?

The 3.0 diesel is a 4-cylinder if I remember right. The 3.0 gas is a V-6.

Even if they had the same configuration, since the diesel operates at much higher chamber pressures, when the exhaust would get dumped into the header, it would expand and create a larger volume of gasses than the gas version. Hence, you'd need a much larger header and exhaust pipe to keep the back pressure at an acceptable level. Check out the pipe on Ford/Chevy/Dodge diesels and compare them to a comparably sized gas V8...the diesel will be larger.
