New Factory rack, needs "body sealant", adhesive silicone OK?

New Factory rack, needs "body sealant", adhesive silicone OK?
My roof rack arrived yesterday, I was going over the directions from toyota and it calls for a bead of "body sealant" around each body mounting hole. I'm not sure exactly what body sealant is, but I have a fresh tube of clear adhesive silicone..is this different? Will this work or should I hunt down "body sealant"

Cool, thanks guys. I suspected it would be alright, but I figured a lot was at stake and didn't want to have my roof rust out
