Unhappy Anyone pull an oil pan gasket out on an 89 4wd V6 pickup

going to put in a new oil pan seal on my 89 toyota pickup thats a 4wd V6 in the shop manual it tells me to pull out the front diff because of the amont of room, anybody has done this before or has any tips to point me in the possitive direction that would be great, even if you could tell me difficulty level or how long it would take

Its not too terrible to pull the front diff (we have one out now on a 89 4Runner). Use a wide blade gasket scraper to separate the pan from the engine....a screwdriver doesn't work it bends the windage tray inside. We ended up pulling the engine due to finding chunks of what used to be important parts of the engine inside the pan.
