jay-
master toyota guru , major help needed
on my way home from work tonight the two bolts that hold my rear driveline carrier bearing fell out , and of course the bolts are lost.

do you know what size the bolts are , thread count and all that jazz and grade of bolt and the tourque specs for the bolts?

it is for a 1996 toyota T-100 4x4 5 speed.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thank you

I don't really know what size you need, but you could probably call the dealership and tell them what happened. I'm sure they would probably know what size, etc you need.

Have fun.

i started off at 50 and it sure felt like it was going to break off the heads of the bolts , i got it tight .
i think some of the reason they shock loose may have been becasue i put on studded tires last week. the added vibration may have caused it to loosen more so thne when i didnt have them on , i put in a flat washer and a lock washer this time too. ill keep an eye on it for sure.

thanks for all help

A little drop of locktite blue on the threads helps too. The bolts to my son's driveshaft came out last year (transfer case end). They were only going about 15 MPH at the time and the end of it cut holes in the floor as it whipped around. They had just come off the freeway at Vantage.
