Does A Grill Guard Off Of A 96-98 Fit 2nd Gens & Tacomas?

Would a grill guard made for a 96-98 4Runner fit onto a 2nd gens & Tacomas? I think I heard somewhere its direct bolt on but I'm not too sure.

I would imagine you could make it work with a little fabrication. But don't quote me on it.

I can tell you for sure that a 2nd gen guard and a 3rd gen are different. I can't tell you what would need to be modded though.
