Umm...yea, Hella 500s wont turn on...

I installed my Hella 500s, with the turn-on lead tapped into the TURN fuse in the cab via an Add-a-Circuit. I made my own wiring harness, its basically the same as the Hella harness, but a little longer and with bigger wire...

As of right now, the light on the switch lights up. I hear a noise from the relay when I turn the switch on/off, but the lights dont light up. I have no clue whats going on. I thought it was the ground and moved that around, but to no adue. Maybe I have the relay connected wrong.

Can someone tell me what leads go to which prongs on the relay???

Thanks much...

Have a nice safe xmas...

If the lights don't have a good ground then they wont' turn on.

Ben is right on the $$

Recheck the circuitry from the relay to ensure that you have all the connections on the right tab.

Good luck

Are you blowing fuses? Make sure that the + and - wires aren't shorting out inside the light housing. I had a small gap in the cover of one of the wires inside the housing and evry time I hit the switch, fuse blows...no light. Took me forever to find the gap.

Wiring up Hellas are easy. The diagrams are more than enough to get them hooked up. You can also check their website for more detailed installation instructions.

Powering off the CORNER light you'll only get power when the parking lights are ON.

Recheck your wiring, especially the wiring to the relay and your grounds.

Good luck.
