2005 Tacoma manual trans

I'm wondering if that 6-speed manual transmission offered with the new Tacoma has a granny first gear. Anyone know anything about it?

It would be cool to have lower gearing than the usual 1st gear without having to shift into 4wd.

First gear seems low, not granny.

It looks like the 6-speed is simply a closer ratio gearbox and definitely not a granny gearbox.

2005 Tacoma 6-speed ratios
1st-4.14
2nd-2.19
3rd-1.49
4th-1.19
5th-1.00
6th-0.85

my beater with W56
1st-3.95
2nd-2.14
3rd-1.38
4th-1.00
5th-0.85

It's probably aimed more at "sporty" driving than a truck with a true granny first gear would be. Still a nice option if one knows how to use it effectively.
