I got my amp and subs last week and installed them. I ran the amp in parallel to the (2 of these) subs as recommended and wow. I am very surprised at the bass these puppies produce. The Amp is a great match for these subs. It pushes out clean power as loud as I need it, and the subs seem to handle it well enough and without issue (they are getting up to 100 watts each, they are 75 Watts RMS). Each sub has approximately .35 cubic feet of box space (a bit big compared to what they recommend for sealed which is 0.15 to 0.20) but I have stuffed the box with polyfill. I have had one 12 (JBL L&C 12") before powered by a 180 watt amp (Phoenix Gold QX180.2) in the past. I also at one point had one 10 powered by the same amp (Phoenix Gold XS 10") and if I had to describe the sound to you guys these subs have the crispness and clarity of a 10 inch sub, but combined they produce better bass/thump/sound range than the 12" I had. The bass is surprisingly good for the size of these subs. I can't wait until I have an extended cab '92-'95 pickup 4x4 so I can do install these there. When that happens I'll post pics if I can come up with some kind of installation worth showing, but this won't be for a few monthes most likely. I think the jury is in - these subs are a great option if you want bass, but don't want to sacrifice space.

 

I have one of those subs myself and it really holds its own. I built a scaled down version of a 10" Deathbox II and it plays down to about 25 Hz with decent output. Pretty good for a 10X10X13.25 bandpass box. The bass really blends in well with the rest of the system. It's running off an oldschool Soundstream D60II amp tucked away in the right rear storage panel in a '99 Runner.

Are they mounted in the kick-panel area??

 

They're in the trunk of my car in a traditional box right now. I'm not exactly sure how I'll mount/install them in an extended cab, but I'll figure something out, and like I said if something is worth posting I'll post pics. These subs are so small though that they are great for custom installations with minimal space.

The subs cost $79.99 each (US Funds). The Amp costs $169.99 (again, US funds). I think shipping for these accross the lower 48 or whatever will cost around $20-30 depending on the shipping method you choose.
