Question 3.0 not starting.... no fuel!

I dropped my truck off last Saturday to get tinted and when I went to pick it up, the damn thing wouldn't start! After some investigation I figured out the engine wasn't getting fuel. Checked all the fuses and relays and everything looked good. Disconected the fuel line before the filter, turned the key and got no fuel out of the line so I know it is the fuel pump. Decided I had enough and left it in their parking lot for the night. When I went back on Sunday morning I figured I would see if it would start and what do you know, started right up. Drove it home no problems, got into the driveway, turned it off, and tried to start it again. It sputtered for a second or two and then nothing. After that it would not start at all... Let it sit for a day, tried it and got it started again. Ran for 10 mins no problem. Turned it off and got the same thing as before... no fuel. I have been searching online and through my manuals a ton but still havent reached a definite conclusion. Am I missing anything? I am sure you guys can come up with something.... and yes I do have a half tank of gas.

I am definitely leaning towards getting a new fuel pump but with only 63k that seems a bit low for a fuel pump to go. If I do end up getting a new pump, Walbro or OEM? I have no need to upgrade my fuel system but it seems to me that Walbro is cheaper. Any input is greatly appreciated.....

P.S. On the plus side, my truck looks great with the windows tinted

I'd suspect the fuel filter first. Try disconnecting the line on the tank side of the filter and see if you can get fuel flowing there. Even if it's not the problem, you're probably due for a new filter if you've never replaced it.

Tried that already, and didnt get any fuel pumping out. I do have a new fuel filter sitting here waiting to be put in but it is suck a pain in the but. Already tried once but couldn't get the nut closer to the engine off. Guess I am gona have to move the transmission crossmember to get it.

Anybody else....?

Went out today and it started up about 6 or 7 times. Cold and warmed up....still afraid to drive it anywhere though.

Any thoughts?
