Folks:

I'm going to get a dedicated set of wheels and snow tires this winter. The Dunlops didn't cut it last winter. Will the 16" stock aluminum wheels from the SE fit over the brakes on my Limited? I'd like to drop down from 17" to 16" wheels for the snow tires. Anyone know where I can get a set of 16" stock wheels at a price lower than the dealer cost?

And what snow tires would you suggest? Blizzak? Nokian?

I was in the same position last winter. I found 4 stock limited 17" wheels on ebay for $400 (all four). A huge savings over the dealer. I then ordered Bridgestone Blizzaks DMZ3's from tire rack that are the same size as the stock tires.

They performed very well and I think I will get three seasons out of them based on last years tread wear.

So, no one knows whether the factory 16" wheels will fit on a Limited?

 

They will fit. I'm running 16" alloys from a 2003 Tundra on my 2003 & 2005 4Runner Limited.
