how long do some of you guys go before cleaning up after mud bogging?
so i'm just curious... i've done some mudding in my rig but i've never really cleaned in much detail afterwards. i'd spray down the body with a high pressure sprayer and then just spray what i can underneath. so to this day the underside of my truck still has mud everywhere, but it still runs fine. are there any parts i should be worried about? any parts i should clean more thoroughly like the ujoints on the end of the driveshaft perhaps? i'm just curious. my truck has been rolled and it looks like someone beat it up with a baseball bat. that's the reason why i never take much time to really clean it up good because it looks better with mud all over it anyway. if having mud everywhere won't hurt anything, i just go cover it up in mud right now and never clean it off and say it's a new paint job......

I just use a hose to spray off the a-arms and the calipers. Other than that I go for weeks to months. My paint has oxidized from the NC red clay so mud makes it look better., I usually wait for rain, then drive around.

From what I've seen on my own Runner and friends, if the mud dries on your paint it will never look as good from then on. My friend got in some nasty black mud in FL that etched his paint by the time we got to the car wash. I will NEVER go in red clay again if I can avoid it from my experinces here in NC.
One more thing you need to clean if you have an older Runner is the cooler for the transfer case.
