12.50" wide tires on stock wheels + wheel spacer?

I dont have enough money for the rims I want, so Im just going to go ahead and get the new tires.

Im getting 305/70/16 so they are 12.50" wide.

Obviously with the stock wheel setup, I'll have clearance problems with the a-arms.

Right now with my 10.50" tires I have 1" clearance. With the 12.50, I will have 1" added to each side. So, Im thinking I need at least a 1/2" wheel spacer.

I noticed all the bolt on wheel spacers are like $80+ for a pair.

Since this will just be temporary, could I just buy the "slip-on" 1/2" spacers like the ones below, and have no problems?

Or shoudl I go ahead and just buy some 1" bolt on ones? I like the Marlin Crawler ones, but, I cant understand how to order them?!?!? How do I order through marlin?

Thanks in advance

Stay away from the slip on spacers-they will cause horrible vibrations from the front end. I ran them for a week and took them off.

Yeah, I was htinking about just getting the more expensive ones I guess.

All I can find are 1.5" spacers. Will those just look silly as hell with the already wide tires of 12.50" ??!!!

Well, I guess that will work until I get my rims.

12.50" tires on a 7" wheel is pushing it, if you do it i would recommend to run them at a lower pressure than you normally would to help the tire flatten out and not wear in the middle

How exactly would this happen with a lugcentric wheel? Your wheel studs moved?
