Can anyone tell me what years of what trucks and 4runners have head gasket recalls, what the recall will cover, and when it expires...


I found a 95 4runner in the local classafieds for 2,500...which sounds really cheap for "only a few dents" and "has a blown head gasket".

I figured it'd be worth looking into if i could just figure out what the deal is with the gaskets.... it would be awsome to get the truck and have it fixed and on the road for only 2,500...

 

The truck or 4runner has to be a 1990 or later and it can't have more than 100,000 miles on it. You can give the vin # to the dealer and they'll run it to see if your elgible also. If it's deemed that the hg cause block scaring ..., they;ll replace that as well.

mine had 200,000 miles on it when it was done. And afterwards they sent me more cards to have it done again

 

Mine was over 160k when it was done.

 

whell CRAP...another deal gone...it was realle only 2,100 dollars, and she sold. but it could have been way worse than described, thanks for the info though i still need it, because there are a lot of them out there, and i'm sure there are more than one out there for sale with blown gaskets...
