Depressurizing fuel system

Depressurizing fuel system
Going to change fuel filter on my 99 Tacoma 2.7l 4 cylinder.
Am debating on best way to depressurize the fuel system.
Looks like there's the main EFI relay in the engine bay
as well as a 15 amp fuse that says EFI. Also I believe
you can pull the circuit opening relay that's located
under the dash. I'm leaning towards either the relay
or the fuse in the engine bay as it's easier to access.
Any one have any pro's or con's on using either?
Thanks for any info,
Geo.

I spent awhile trying to find how to do this when i did mine, but after mucking around for 1/2 an hour ,i just undid the fuel cap.i only hade a very very small amout of leakage.when i un do my fuel cap it makes a nice "tsish" sound so i know it relesing some pressure.

When I did mine on my '88, I just unplugged the wiring harness for the pump right near the gas tank. Turned the key and cranked the engine over once or twice and everythng was cool. I don't know if that's the right way to do it, but I've done it twice with no bad side effects.

I did it this same way on my '00. I just loosened the gas cap and a very, very small amount dripped out of the filter when removing. The whole filter change start to finish was about 10 mins.
