More road noise with a Body Lift?

I swear that I can hear a little more engine or road noise since putting in a 2" body lift. Or maybe I'm going nuts. Anyone else with a body lift notice any increase in noise on there rig?

If you try hard enough, you can hear anything.

Seriously - are you looking to see if you can hear more noise, or did you just notice it? I didn't notice any change when I put my 2" BL on, but my MTs drown out most noises.

Turn up the stereo!

I've never noticed an increase on any vehicles with lifts, I have 3". I think on badly washboarded roads when things shake like crazy there may be a bit more movement (more things rattle!) but on the highway and around town, nope. My tires used to be the only thing I heard but these ProComps are hardly noticeable.

I had to take out my shifter boots temporarily until I modified them so that I could shift properly and of course when they were out it was quite a bit noisier. However, once I replaced everything it still seemed slightly noisier but as Jacksonpt pointed out I may be trying to hear something thats not there. Oh well.

Yeah, I started to toss one of the double rubber boots before I redid the shifters, but they really do quiet it down, glad I didn't.

Check around where your steering shaft goes through the floor. There should be a plastic piece around the shaft that often gets buggered because it sort of shifts angle with the body lift. Mine is trashed and I hear more stuff.
