Radiator capacity for 1996 V6 4WD 4 Runner

Hi folks,

A quicky, what is the radiator capacity for a 1996 4 Runner V6 4WD? What's a simple but safe way of putting in fresh coolant? Is distilled water necessary?

Thanks.

I bought 2 gallons of undilluted red coolant form Toyota last time to do the maintenance. You will need to dilute it by using distilled water in a 50/50 ratio. Make sure you use distilled water to avoid any deposit in your radiator.

Hi.

Am I right in saying then that 2 gallons of coolant is to be dilutes with 2 gallons of distilled water to do the job?

When I installed my TRD Thermostat, I only used 1 gallon of Toyota coolant. I mixed it 60% water 40% gly and used Redline Water Wetter and had a little bit of coolant left over.

But a straight 50/50 mix, you will only need 1 gallon.

Thanks for your reply

Is there any difference between distilled water and filtered water? I work in Mongolia and am unsure if distilled water is obtainable.
