Custom Bumper Q's

I am going to go buy some of the steel tomarrow to make my rear bumper, and was wondering on what thickness's I should use for what?

For the brackets that slide into the frame, should I use 3/16" or 1/8" wall? Them bumper will have a trail hitch reciever and recovery points on it that will be used.

For the rear piece that the trailer hitch reciever will be in and the recovery points mounted to I was going to use 3/16" wall.

For the sides I was planing on 3/16" or 1/8" wall. I was leaning twards the 3/16" wall for again strength.

I know the bumper will be heavy no matter which thickness I use. It shouldnt be much more than a stock bumper and trailer hitch together though but we'll see.
Please tell me which wall thickness you think will be best for each part of the bumper.

Thanks and

I think 3/16 would be perfect. 1/4 seems too thick to me, and 1/8 a little too thin. For the brackets 1/4" seems more like it though.
