Fuse for Stock Fog Lamps Keeps Popping

I installed some Raybrig White Sonic H3 bulbs Monday night in my stock fog lamps. I fired them up and man they looked great. I drove to my girlfriends and then to work the next morning. When I left work Tuesday afternoon, I noticed the fog lamps didn't come on. I got home and started looking around and removed the cover on the first lamp to start checking the bulbs and see if they popped. It struck me as odd that both weren't working so before I pulled the bulbs out, I decided to go check the fuse. It was blown. I went and got some more fuses (I think the stock fuse was 15A) and put a new one in. I turned on the lights and nothing. Looked at the fuse and it was blown again. I had some higher rated fuses so I tried a 20A and a 25A and these also blew as soon as I turned the switch on. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing this? Could something be grounded somewhere? The Raybrig's are the same wattage as the stock bulbs so I know thats not the problem. Thanks guys. Later.

Matt:

Check the (+) connection inside the housing. It may be rubbing or touching some metal. Im currently running 130w Hella bulbs in my stock fog lights so it can't be the wattage.

Sounds like a short somewhere...finding it is a PITA. May even be a cut or bare spot on the wires touching metal. Or something in the new bulbs. Put the old ones back in and see if she blows the fuse again. Troubleshooting drives me nuts...gotta suspect even the rediculous. Good luck man.

Found it! One of the pigtails had frayed a bit and must have been grounded out which killed the whole circuit. Thanks guys.
