Question LCE's 22RE Turbo Kit?

I was wondering if anyone has had LCE's 22RE Turbo kit installed on their pickup? Also, there's a high boost and a low boost. (Same price.) Why wouldn't you choose the high boost? If anyone has pictures or suggestions why or why not to use the turbo charger, please post. Thanks.

turbos are a nice way to pickup some extra horsepower and a bit of torque... any import guy wil tell you that.. but a turbo isnt just a bold on accessory. there are a few engine mods you need to do before you turbo.. you need to think about an intercooler... boost controller.. spark retarding... head gasket change... custome intake tubing, cuz with a turbo you need to have a cold air intake and another filter on your turbo for best results on the power band. to get the power you want out of a turbo theres alot of elbow work to be done in the engine compartment before you go blowin your waste gate.

rock on,
matt

Well the higher the boost the more risk of detonation, which can easily spell death to the engine. Depending on how much boost you run, you may need to use high octane fuel (even an octane booster) and possibly low compression pistons. Like matt said, it's not usually a bolt-on mod. I'd recommend reading Maximum Boost by Corky Bell prior to turbocharging an engine. Lots of good info there.
