Whats the hot battery set up nowadays ?
I am close to wrapping up my audio project in the 03.
The two JL Audio amps are in, sub enclosure and the HX-D10 limited head unit from the 99. I added Sirius and a 6 disc changer in the glove box while I was at it.
I will be replacing the battery and there is a lot more room in the 03 than the 99.
I know Optima used to be the hot set up but after visiting my friend in Cali with his 10,000 Watt Stereo in his jet boat, he had dropped Optima.
He has two boat batteries and 4 for the stereo
His batteries were 'odyssey' I think.
Anyone got any info/suggestions ?

Right now Odyssey seems to be the hot one to use
slightly offtopic
I think you can squeeze 2 of the Odyssey PC1200 into the Factory battery tray of a 3rd generatrion if you extend it just a hair closer towards the motor, and if you mount them sideways. Not sure its much better than a single bigger Odyssey itself but if youre a guy who needs to run a dual battery system from a perspective of "backup" in case one battery goes bad out in the boonies by yourself... well theres an option.

just bought 2 of them, cheapest price I could find (144$ each) and shipping was only 24$ (for 2 batteries), no tax for me.

I'll look into it.

Odyssey is just a trend... so was Optima. Unless you're into cycling your stereo and killing your battery regularly, a deep cycle really doens't offer that much. It's your ALTERNATOR that matters when your car is running. Upgrade that, or get a line level stabilizer or a voltage regulator, and you'll be happier. I promise.
