my friend just got a 2002 tacoma 5 speed and i have a 2001 tacoma automatic. my friend wants an auto tranny and i want a manual. my question is, has this been swapped or can it be done? is there anywhere i can get a write-up or any information about this swap?

 

The task wouldn't be worth it. You've got to also swap the ECU's from both vehicles. It can be done, but with new trucks like that, I simply wouldn't bother. Maybe make a trade.
