2nd gen 4runner Clutch Slave Location?
was looking for it and thought i saw it on the passenger side but wasn't sure if that was it. can anybody give me a location or a picture of it?
my clutch started getting really weak yesterday but I let it sit for about 8 hours before I went to work last night. On the way to and from work, with 4 hours of sitting inbetween too, it was strong the whole way. This morning going to school it became weak again, and after 4 hours of sitting it was still weak.
I took it to a transmission shop, but all they did was road test it for about 30 seconds and told me it needed a clutch, hydraulics, and shifter all without even putting it on the lift or even give me a written exact estimate.
The master cylinder was about 3/4 of the way full, is it suppose to be completely full or is that good enough?
I want to try to bleed it first, because that would always temporarily fix the supra with its busted hydraulics.
I'm afraid of taking it to work tonight without trying to bleed it because I won't be off till nearly midnight and my mom will already be in bed (so theres no way of getting her to drop me off and pick me up) and I don't want to have to pay more money than I'll make today to tow it. It is really soft and feels much like the supra did before it completely gave out (except it went completely soft and gave out in under 10 minutes).

If I remember correctly it is on the passenger side of the bell housing. Sorry I don't have pics and the truck's at home, and I'm at work, or I'd go check for sure. Anyway the slave cylinder will have a single hydraulic line and a bleed screw. The hydraulic line comes down the passenger side of the engine, by the firewall, if in doubt follow that.

thanks im going to go check again
i tried following the line and i got lost at the passenger side since all 3 lines are the same and all go to the passenger side...so i looked under and all i saw was what i guess is the proportioning value (and thats obviously not it since its not connected to the tranny lol)
hope i sill got that bottle of brake fluid left
afraid i can't even make it to the store to get more lol

i found it and it was on the passenger side. haven't gotten a chance to bleed it, it keeps looking like its going to rain but then it doesn't.
the shop said no less than $1000 to replace the hydraulics and clutch, which is why i HOPE its just air in the line or something :-P
