How often do you use BG44K or other fuel system cleaner?

My PreRunner is running great.
Premaintenace dose now?
Every 5000 miles?
When she starts running rough?

I try to toss in a bottle once every 6 months or so.

I usually use a can once every 6 mths. This is usually before I do the annual oil change and and the 6 mth mark when I change the oil filter. As one might guess - I'm using Amsoil.

About every 4 to 6 months (I'm anal about clean injectors). I use the Chevron Techron, it seems to work well. I was burning only Chevron gas also until it $2.50.

I pour a system cleaner in the tank every 10-12,000 miles. That works out to every 4-6 months for me.

I pour in a bottle of the Chevron stuff every oil change, so 3-4 times per year.

so what exactly do you do with this stuff? just pour the whole container in your gas tank before you fill up? Or do you pour some, then add some gas, and then pour some, back and forth?

I always pour it into the tank right before I fill up. Allows the stuff to thoroughly mix with the gas. Probably not really an issue, it'll mix either way.

Cool, and it's just basic injector cleaner that you can get anywhere? Or should I special order the BGK stuff I'm reading so much about

I actually get BG's through a dealer for about $18 a can while Pep Boys wanted over $20 a can.
I don't mind paying a little more since I know the stuff works.

I run 1/3 a can of seafoam through the Intake once a year, and throw the rest of the can in the gas tank. That's around every 15,000 miles for me.

I believe I read forum member Tor sells BG44K for just under $15 a can.

can you double the dosage on the bgk or should you use as noted since its pretty potent stuff?
