Here's some pics of my 4runner after washing it and treating it with Meguiar's NXT wax. Anyways im getting rid of my chrome and painting the front/rear bumpers, front lower valence, front grill, and rear license plate surround. But the only problem is the only one I know how to remove is the front grille. Now Is there any diagrams out there to get these off? Thanks

 

Everything is pretty straight forward and if you need diagrams they are some pretty good ones in the Haynes/Chilton manuals. I got one, don't remember which one, but I could scan some of that crap for you if you absolutely need it and can't find it somewhere else.

Front bumper is pretty easy (8) bolts at the most and disconnect the fogs if you have them and the bumper lights.

Rear bumper you need to remove the top plastic piece with the hatch open and then just look for bolts to take off to get it off. It's three pieces, two wings and a main beam. About 16 bolts I would say, some are under the rear mudflaps if you have those.

The rear license plate surround is a PITA and you should look at a diagram before you go digging in there as it took bamachem and myself several attempts to get it all put back correctly.

I removed my license surround when I painted mine(I was a couple of years ahead of Toyota on this one since they didn't offer it until '02). It took alittle time because you have to remove just about everything on the inside of the lift gate to gain access to the screws/clips that hold it on. I didn't have any diagram, I just started taking things off to get to it.

The bumpers are pretty easy. I could just say 'look for the bolts and unscrew them' but... sorry I dont have a diagram. It's all strait forward and pretty easy.
