Question ignition Coil resistance check

I just did a coil resistance check on my 3.0 V6 ,follwing the instuctions in my haynes manual.
My primary resistance read 1.2 ohm's (i think its ment to be 0.4 to 0.5)
I tried to do a secondary resistance check but coudnt get a reading.

Is this bad ?

also do i have to buy from toyota ($$$) or can you find something at repco or other accesories store

Touch the leads of the meter together. What resistance to you get?

Subtract this from the resistance you get when measuring the coil.
