I've been trying to find the OEM size of bushings for the front strut of a 3rd gen (98) 4Runner. I need both Inner diam, and outer diam. Or if someone knows the part number from ES that would be even better.

And another thing, when replacing only the lower bushing, do I have to take the strut off the upper a-arm, or can I just compress the spring and remove the lower bolt. I think I should be able to. Any thoughts welcome.

 

I guess I'll just go buy one from toyota and measure it

 

i believe you will have to take the entire strut out. theres no other way to get the lower bushing off. hope that answered one of your questions.
