TRD 1st gen. 3.4L supercharger

I found a 1st gen. (atleast I think it is, its tanish-grey) supercharger at a wrecking yard and was wondering how much it was worth to see if I wanted to get it. Also, what are the differences between the 1st and 2nd generation TRD superchargers?
Thanks

Man that is a great find if you can get it cheap and it's not damaged.
If it is light gray then it is definately a 1st gen S/C (the 2nd gens are black).

1st gens look like this:

and 2nd gens look like this:

the discharge housing is separate on the 1st gen. other than that, not much difference between the two besides the color.

I picked up my 1st gen. S/C two years ago for $650 used. I drove it over to Magnusson and had it completely rebuilt for around $300. They replaced every single bearing/moving part. If you pick this one up, call Tony @ Magnusson, He handles the Toyota blower division. PM me and I'll give you his cell#. The main difference between the two is that the main body is made of two separate pieces on the 1st gen. and it is all one piece on the 2nd gen. That makes it quieter at idle and slightly lower profile. There are other differences but mostly subtle. I have had my 1st gen. for a few years now and I really like the extra power. My one word of advice is no matter what, get it rebuilt before installing it. It is worth the extra money to avoid the hassle of installing it only to find out the bearings are shot.
