Quick Question Regarding Oil Change??? It is not a help question!

Hello All...

I have been using sythetic oil for 10,000 miles now. My buddy gave me a free dealer oil change. Is it okay to go back to dino oil then switch back to synthetic. My plan was to use the free dealer oil change like an engine rinse, then when I get home the same day, I will switch back to synthetic and new filter. I feel better knowing that I change my own oil to correct any possible delear mishaps And also going back to synthetic. I hope I am making sense.... Thanksssss

I have a similar situation. A dealer gave me a free oil change, but my rig is on sync. I just bought a 94 Toy. LC so I will be using it on that instead.

Dino oil? Your engine would not even last the ride back home from the dealership!

Big waste of time. Just keep using the synthetic.

I assume the filter is included. Why not just take your syn oil to dealer and have them do oil/filter change and put in your oil. Just ask for the empty syn bottles back, so you know they put it in.

That waythey save alittle oil, you score filter and dont have to deal with oil for one change.
