mounting a hi lift

i want to mount a hi lift somewhere on my 93 pickup, extended cab. i want it somewhere out of the way and safe. i have seen those locking mountling brackets for like $22. is that worth getting or do anyone else have a better way?

The Hi-Lift 4XRac/Lock is excellent if you wanted to mount it on your front bumper, or even in the bed of your truck....I used one on my '00 Wrongler (no flaming, I don't have the Jeep anymore ) It works awesome, and it's lockable with any type of padlock you wish.

How about this way?



That is either Jowie's or Jruz's Tacoma.
They both came on the Fall Colors run and have Tacomas.
That is a Jason Demello slider in the bed modified to hold a Hi Lift.
