Need help finding a short coming from alternator red IG wire
1986 22re auto.
I have been having an issue with 80a fuse and alternators blowing up on me. Put in new alternator and metered out my 3 wires on the plug. The L and IG wires measure under battery voltage. I tested wires to ground and my IG wire shows a connection to ground. Am I just being dumb or is this not suppose to touch ground? It seems to connect to 6 other things so not sure where to look. I’m in process of trying to find where it’s grounding out and hoping to find some insight before pulling the whole dash off to get a closer look at the wire loom. Nothing seems broken from what I can see.
