94 4x4 below-deck maintenance

I'm having a shop do a transmission, differential, and transfer case fluid change. While they are down there, I'm thinking that they should also repack the front wheel bearings and thrust bush(ing?) and lubricate the propeller shaft. Could you suggest other related work that would be useful to perform? My truck has only 86K, but it's been a while since he has been in a shop.

Sounds like you got the bases covered!

They could grease the ball joints if they have grease fittings on them.

If the brakes feel spongey it could be time for new fluid.

I'll add ball joints to the list (I don't know if they have grease fittings, though). I do have brakes on my list, even though they don't feel spongey. Thank you for your advice!

When i first got my 4Runner i changed every single fluid. I used a fairly generic gear oil in the diffs, trans/ transfer. Later on I changed out for Redline. The sound reduction was very noticeable.

I continue to use their MT-90 and 75W-90, as well!
