Hello all,

I purchased the Land Cruiser mirrors here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/355990887981 for my 1986 4Runner and love the look of them. However, they do not fit the profile of the door perfectly and as such do not seal up to the door like they should.

I know other have installed these mirrors before on a 1st gen 4Runner so am wondering if anybody has a solution to this.

I might yeah good suggestion.

Are you saying I need to weld a metal plate to the backside to provide structural support for the heavier mirror?
