CT20 To Garrett GT25R Turbo Kit For 22RTE

I've dug through old threads and read of people using this conversion kit. I'd like to dedicate this thread to people discussing the positives and negatives of this kit. What was your experience with the install? I've seen some people mention that you can use the factory ECU, AFM, and injectors, while other people say you can't. My goal is not to make any more power, but make my 87 22RTE as reliable as possible. It sounds like these CT20s are a time bomb before they crack and go out. Any advice helps.

Ran accross your post when serching google for issues with my cooling system on my GT25r
I Just installed this kit into my 1986 22-ret pickup. Im having major overheating issues. Brand new long block, all new cooling componets. LC engineering has been 0 help. SInce they were bought out, there tech dept is about useless. Im having a major issue with air pockets when trying to cool the gt25r. Considering not even running coolant lines to it, the truck has had a fresh longblock from Yota1 sitting in it for 9 months, unable to drive it
