Will a 285/70/17 spare tire hang and fit in the factory location

Anyone fit a 285-70-17 (33”) in the factory spare tire location on their 1st gen 4Runner ? I know it’s not the most desirable place for wheeling but I’m on city roads 90 percent of the time and don’t want the spare in the back of the bed. , my truck also has a 4inch lift if that helps 🤷🏽‍♂️
post a picture if you got one thanks !!

We know a 31 will fit as that is considered a stock tire. The 285 is approx 32.7 in diameter. My sr5 pickup will not fit anything larger than a 31 with installed curt hitch because of the crossbar. I think the oem hitch had a curve in it to accommodate the tire might be wrong. Without a hitch installed you might get away with it, the only way to know for sure is to try it and see what happens.

I don’t have a tow hitch at all so I might just get away with it I’ll just have to see and try I’ll update if it works or not thanks
