Hi everyone Ive got a stupid question to ask here and I'm hoping someone has some advice on it.
So I bought new shocks for my Mazda B2600 but then sold it and got this 92 Pickup. I figured the shocks would fit the pickup but the're just slightly different. Front shocks take a smaller bolt so I went to the hardware store and got a 3" 3/8th bolt and put it through the lower eye. Shock is in but looks pretty weak compared to the beefy bolt that should be in there. Toughts?
Secondly, I moved to the back shocks, the top eye went on fine (idk the size of the bolts but they're welded into the frame on these trucks so cannot be swapped). Now the lower eye of the shock is too small to go onto the bolt. I am thinking maybe I can pop this bearing out of the eye and then with the bushings off the old shock it should fit. Thoughts on how I can pop this bearing out?
This is the bearing thing, want to try and pop it out somehow
It’s not a bearing but a sleeve and it should just slide right out with a little effort.
Just gave it a good hammering and it didnt budge. If I can get the sleeve out or the whole sleeve and outer bit (just leaving the eye) it should fit. Anybody got any other ideas to get it out.
