1989 22re power loss
Good afternoon,
I have a 1989 Toyota 22re pickup. It was sitting for a few years before I recently was able to start working on it again. The other day I decided to take it to town and fill it up. It was driving fine. On the way home it started to lose power.
I was able to keep it around 30 mph in 3rd gear. Any thing above it would start to lose power. Once I got on the dirt road and started going up a small hill it couldn't even hold power in 1st gear. It would start to bog down and die unless I pushed on the clutch. However when I put it in 4Low it would do just fine going up the hill in every gear.
Any ideas would be very helpful and appreciated. I did just order a fuel filter. Just trying to figure out the simple things first.
Thank you
