94 Pickup Burns Gas/Loss of Power
Like the title says, have a 1994 Toyota pickup 3.0 3vze manual. Truck has always run great but has recently started to lose power and burn a ton of fuel (180 miles to a tank). Had an exhaust leak and got a new muffler and tailpipe thinking that was the problem. Turns out it wasn't (had a cat test run only to find out there was a bunch of fuel in the cat and the exhaust coming out of the cat was at a very high temp), burned through a muffler. The exhaust coming out of the tailpipe feels misty and puffy.
Sometimes when driving there is hesitation, where it feels like the engine is bogging down. Can't seem to figure out the issue. Was thinking along the line of the fuel regulator or some sort of sensor. Has anyone had an issue like this or have an idea of what it could be?I

That could be a bad airflow meter. It's easy to test them. Repair manuals explain how. You test the resistance between two of the 7 or 8 terminals on it. There are also Youtube vids on it. Some claim cleaning them up will add some life to them but I haven't had any such luck. Try adjusting the TPS too
