1988 suspension
Hello. I'm new to this forum, but figured it would be the best place to find my answers. I have a 1988 toyota 4x4 that we use as a work truck. This winter we want to upgrade the suspension. We don't necessarily want to lift it, just replace all bushing, shocks, and leaf springs, to improve the ride and load carrying. I am having a hard time finding any type of kit that has all that in one package. Does that exist? Can someone out there point me in the right direction. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Kits exist. OME and Rough Country are places you could start.
I would try to find something that doesn't increase height in the rear, otherwise you might have to alter the front to compensate. And cranking the torsion bar too much will make it ride VERY hard and be tough on the upper ball joints.
Trying to strike a happy medium between ride comfort and payload capacity is a very fine line.
Most aftermarket springs are pretty stiff. If your springs are in decent shape, just weak, an add-a-leaf is a possibility
Good quality truck tires can make a big difference on handling and ride quality, especially when hauling a load.
