I’m looking for some opinions on whether this would be a decent purchase or just dumb.

It’s a 1993 regular cab Pickup. 22re, 4x4, standard trans, SAS /w extensive suspension and diff work, 35’s, 1 owner, decent decent-ish body with no rust (Nevada/new Mexico truck), rough paint, clean interior, BUT- 300,000 miles and the timing chain guides are starting to fail. He wants 7500 for it. Not looking for a daily, but also not looking to open a can of worms. Worth it or bad idea?

 

I think you already know the answer on whether a 30 year old truck will consume money.
