I have a 1992 R150 (2wD) transmission. Can I couple a transfer case to this transmission? If so what transfer case or parts will I need ?

divorce transfer ... or surgery on the 2WD (lots of work and expense)
personally , I think your best to find a 4WD tranny

 

Thanks for the reply. ​​ Yes i had assumed (surgery) disassembly and reassembly would be involved. What type of expense are you referring to ?

Still hoping to hear from someone who has experience coupling a transfer case to a 2wd r150 and whether or not this is possible. A​long with the additional parts that would be required.

This is a video from another Toyota forum where the guy used the guts of a 2WD R150 to fix his 4WD R150. Maybe you can see why you need a 4WD trans to attach the T-case.
