I really want to buy a DECKED drawer system that will fit. '96 T100 2 door xtra cab. Decked doesn't build one for this rig. I've spent hours searching for technical specs to get me close to the part #s they currently build. I've found that 1st gen Tundra access cab bed is same length 76.5". One site I checked measures Tundra's max floor width at 61.2". My T100 measures 63" at floor. Measurements between wheel wells 49"and bed height 16.7" are virtually the same. Decked drawer system only starts at 2007 Tundra with 6'7" bed.
I love this rig. I just got back from an 850 mile road trip. Comfortable on the freeway at 75 mph on cruise control. Good shift points on the auto trans. Yea it lacks a little power on steep grades but so what. 4wd worked like a charm on a pretty gnarly forest routes and especially when I finally got to test the traction and clearance getting to the remote campsite on the river. I'm hoping somebody else has modified one of these drawer systems for either the T100 or the 1st gen Tundra access cab. I'm leaning on the decked part # DT2. I realize "Decked" wont acept any responsibility once I start grinding. I've seen a youtube video with some guy using a nissan frontier part but didn'e look close enough. I just want to know if anyone here has tried it.
Thanks, Scott
It’s done! Used decked drawer system for Ford Econoline Ext van. Took lots of time and precise measurements. Used cardboard jig. Fits like a glove. Found out from a 1st gen Tundra forum. I wanted to get the 2 wide drawers. Cutting the sides to fit the bed in fractions of an inch. Will include pictures Centered the frame Trimmed the supports without damaging the mounting holes Used cardboard as a jig Had to shim the side supports to match the floor ribs Fits like a glove and saved the ammo cans. Lids snap in perfectly. Had to install D rings and modify J hooks for securing to corners.
