Hey all..I have a 1988 4Runner 22RE with the W56 transmission.

I replaced the bearings and 3 gears on my R1FA T case. I bought the gear 2.28 set from Trail Gear. My issue is, when the engine is on and the t case is in gear (H2, H4,or L4) I cannot shift the transmission. If I put the t case in neutral I can shift the put the transmission in gear..Any help is appreciated!

 

ok for anyone who cares...

I went back into the trans this weekend and checked the "clutch release bearing" on the intitial install I goofed that up(it came unclipped)got it squared away, reinstalled..Still no shifting with the clutch. Dropped the trans again (super proficient in this now) and re installed the old "clutch release bearing". Its a 2 stage clutch so I figured that might;ve been my issue..I had put a new OEM CRB in...re installed the trans...still no shifting with clutch engaged. Dropped the t case to see if that was my issue...used the old input gear I had to see if the clutch would engage neutral...no go..So now it leaves me to the clutch...Apparently it was a new 2 stage clutch, but Im beginning to think it would behoove me to just go back to OEM..Thoughts?
