wiring in a chmsl light on headache rack

i welded up a headache rack and want to install a third brake light on it. i was wondering where might be the best place to tap into the wiring. i partially took off the interior side panels to try to expose wires going up to the chmsl currently on the roof. i didn't have success finding the wire. is it supposed to be on drivers side or passengers side. or maybe i should tap into it somewhere else ?

"Center High-Mount Stop Light." This article https://www.nhtsa.gov › DOT › CHMSL_Complete says that all trucks sold in the US had a CHMSL by 1993 or 1994, but my '94 does not (built in August, 1993, so who knows?) I'm guessing yours is a 1995.

Curiously, my 1994 EWD shows that connector H10 (High Mount Stop Light) is next to the dome light connector, and is wired through the A pillar then over the driver's-side door.

Other than that, I'm no help.
