I recently bought an 89 4runner that has the motor, trans, transfer case, and dash swapped from a 94 pick up. I'm wanting to swap the dash back to the original 89 dash. Would I have to run a new wiring harness for that? how much of a pain would this be?
I'm not the most knowledgeable with this platform just yet but aren't the 89 and 94s the same cluster? The only difference you might see will be whether it has the tach, voltage, and oil pressure gauges or not. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

Isn't that kind of in the category of "if you don't know, you don't need to respond"? Correct me if I'm wrong though.
There is at least 2 different style of dashes that I know of but I'm not sure what dictated what style went into what truck (year, trim package, build location). The big difference being the top of the dash behind the steering wheel. One was a solid piece and the other had a removable section.
And then there is 3 or 4 different colors too. Grey, blue, tan, maybe red but toyota might have stopped that color with the 89 4runner.
